Faith & Family

We invite you to a D-Backs Faith & Family Night on Saturday, April 19, at 5:10 pm.   Enjoy a game and hear a testimony from one of the D-Backs and a concert by Todd Agnew.  Tickets are only $10.  Reserve your tickets online.

This is a shortened version of our weekly, since part of our church staff was in Prescott.  For more info, go to First Southern Baptist Church or Estrella Falls Baptist Church.

Here is our online weekly.  If you can't read this version, you can access it online!

Getting Along With People

The newspaper headlines confirm what we already know--getting along with people is a lost art.  Recent headlines include "Teen gets prison for beating up 71 year old man."  "Angry woman drives off with boyfriend on roof of car."  "Mom locks teen in closet for six weeks."  "Neighbors finally settle $80,000 light bulb case."  There is an epidemic of anger, putdowns, violence, and broken relationships in America.

God didn't create us to live in such a world.  He sent His Son, Jesus, not only to secure us a home in heaven.  He sent His Son, Jesus, to teach us how to get along with others . . . and to open up the path so that we can get along with God.

I hope to see you Sunday!  And, don't forget it's Easter!

Pastor Jack Marslender

From Prescott

This edition of the newsletter was put together from Prescott, where part of our church staff (Pastor Jack Marslender, Children's Director Amy Zimmerle, and Youth Director Kyle Epps) spent the week helping to run our Kid's Kamp.  Our spring Kid's Kamp had 40 in attendance and everyone had a great week.  And for you desert rats, the white stuff in the accompanying picture is snow, which fell on Sunday afternoon and evening, before the weather cleared.

The children and adults had a great time memorizing and studying Psalm 25:4-5:

Show me your ways, O LORD.

Teach me your paths;

Guide me in your truth and teach me.

for you are God my Savior,

and my hope is in you all day long.

Dessert Auction

New discipleship classes will begin at FSBCA on Sunday night,

March 30, at 6:00 pm.  Afterwards, we invite you to the MAC for a Dessert Fellowship and Auction sponsored by our deacons.  Bring a favorite dessert and it will be auctioned to the highest bidder, who can either take it home or share it on the spot.   The proceeds will benefit our benevolence fund.
