What Is A Christian
Family?
Last Sunday, we talked about
the basics of using your Bible. This week--and please don't
forget that it's Mother's Day--we talk about the basics of Christian
family life. Are Christian families different? Should
they be different? And, if so, how are they different?
Unfortunately, the stereotypes
of Christian families often turn people off. In many people's
minds, a Christian family is led by an overly strict father and a
stern-faced mother who dress in old-fashioned clothes and who
terrorize their kids for the slightest infraction. The
children spend all of their free time studying the Bible and
preaching on street corners about sin and judgment and Hell.
Nothing could be further
from the truth!
So what is a Christian family really like?
How should we act and what should we do in order to please God and
to pass on our faith to our children? We invite you to join us
on Sunday as we worship, celebrate, and learn these important truths
from God!
See you Sunday!

Senior Adults

Everyone is invited to
join our seniors on a
trip to
Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa on May 29
at 11:00 am.
The cost for pizza, unlimited beverage,
salad, and entertainment is $8.75 per
person. If you can drive others, that will
help, but we will also take the Church van.
Let
Pastor Numa know if you will join us on
the van or if you can drive others, or make
a note of it in your connection card and
hand it in. The caravan of vehicles
will leave for
Mesa
at 9:45 am. We can enter Organ Stop
at
11:00 am, and will stay until
12:30 pm. Plan on joining us for fun, food, and fellowship.

friends who might not generally accept
your invitation to a “church service.”
Take a moment this weekend to
register for this event. You’ll be glad
you did!
Children in
K - 3 are invited for a time of fun in the sun and a
dip in the pool

And 4 - 6 graders will have their pool party
on

Bring a sunscreen and a beach towel and
have fun! For more information
about the pool party contact
